About Dave
Dave Fancher is a Software Engineer from Carmel, Indiana. He has
been working in the IT field for over seven years, five of which have been in a Fortune 500
environment.
Dave has been working with the .NET technologies almost as long as they have been available (post-beta)
and has focused on ASP.NET development with C# including XML, DHTML, and CSS. He has also worked with
Windows Forms. In addition to development, Dave has extensive experience with SQL Server 2000
and is familiar with implementing many of the new features found in SQL Server 2005 (Yukon). Outside of
Microsoft technologies Dave has worked with Oracle 8/9i.
He has also been an active member of the .NET User Group of Fort Wayne (.NUFW).
In March of 2005 he gave a presentation regarding Beta 2 of SQL Server 2005. A review of the materials Dave used
to prepare for the presentation is available on this site. .NUFW is a fun and
[almost] free (typically asking for $2.50 to help cover the cost of pizza) community of developers, managers,
and educators of varying levels of experience. .NUFW members all strive to learn from each other and are always
open to new members.
When he isn't writing code, Dave enjoys spending time with his wife and dog. The latest movie releases are almost
always on their weekend agenda.
